Bernardo Boyl

Fray Bernardo Boyl was a Benedictine priest who officiated the first mass in the Americas on January 6, 1494, during Christopher Columbus's second voyage. He played a significant role in the early Christian missions in the New World and was instrumental in establishing the first church in Hispaniola.
