Bernardo Greiver

Bernardo Greiver is a seasoned diplomat from Uruguay with a long-standing career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He holds a degree in International Relations and has served as the Ambassador to Israel during two terms, from 2009 to 2014 and again from 2017 to 2023. Throughout his career, he has held various significant positions, including Director General for Cultural Affairs, Director General of International Cooperation, and Director of the Artigas Institute, which is the diplomatic academy in Uruguay. Recently, he was in the news due to concerns raised by the Frente Amplio party in Madrid regarding his proposed appointment as ambassador to Spain, citing his perceived affinity with the Israeli government.
