Rodolfo Nin Novoa is a prominent Uruguayan politician who served as Vice President under Tabaré Vázquez from 2005 to 2010 during the first term of the Frente Amplio government. He later held the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2015 to 2020, further establishing his influence in Uruguayan politics. Prior to these roles, Nin Novoa was the mayor of Cerro Largo from 1985 to 1994 and was initially associated with the National Party. His extensive experience in governance and diplomacy positions him as a key figure in fostering Uruguay's international relations, particularly as he has recently been appointed as the Uruguayan ambassador to Brazil in the government of Yamandú Orsi.
