Bert
Bert was a five-year-old Springer Spaniel police dog serving with the Cleveland police department, known for his impressive skills in drug detection and for playing a significant role during the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022. Tragically, he was recently euthanized after sustaining serious injuries in a traffic accident while responding to an emergency. Bert had been a valuable asset to the police force for over three years, notably helping to recover £250,000 in a single operation. His dedication and service to the community and the police department will be fondly remembered.
