Brian Dowling is a former Kilkenny senior hurler and currently the manager of the Kildare hurling team. After a challenging start to the season, Dowling led Kildare to a remarkable turnaround, culminating in their victory in the Joe McDonagh Cup, marking their first championship win since 2004 and setting them up for a match against Dublin in the All-Ireland preliminary quarter-finals.
