Bruno Stojić

Bruno Stojić is a former defense minister of the self-proclaimed Herceg-Bosna and was convicted of war crimes by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY). He served a 20-year sentence for his role in the ethnic cleansing of Bosniaks during the Bosnian War. Recently, he was released early from prison in Austria, a decision that sparked outrage among victims' associations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, who deemed it a deep insult to justice. At 70, Stojić's release was justified by the court based on factors such as good behavior, acceptance of responsibility for his crimes, and potential for successful reintegration into society.
