Slobodan Praljak

Slobodan Praljak was a Croatian general and a prominent figure during the Croatian War of Independence. He became widely known after he was convicted of war crimes by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in 2017. Praljak gained international attention when, during a court hearing, he ingested poison in protest of his conviction, leading to his death shortly after.
