Recently, he gained attention for restoring a fresco in the Basilica of San Lorenzo in Lucina, which sparked controversy when it was noted that an angel depicted in the restoration bore a striking resemblance to Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. Ventinetti has publicly denied any intention of portraying Meloni, stating that he focused solely on restoring the original image.
