Byron Guillermo Thomae Estrada

Byron Guillermo Thomae Estrada is a veterinary doctor and the coordinator of the Program for Containment, Control, Prevention, and Eradication of the Cochliomyia hominivorax, commonly known as the screwworm, at the Guatemalan Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food (MAGA). He has been instrumental in coordinating efforts to combat the resurgence of this parasitic pest in Guatemala, focusing on educational campaigns and strategies to prevent its spread from neighboring countries.
