Caiphus Nyoka
Caiphus Nyoka was a South African anti-apartheid activist and student leader who was murdered in 1987 at his family home near Johannesburg, a victim of the violent repression against those opposing the apartheid regime. His case became emblematic of the numerous political killings that occurred during this period and was revisited decades later as part of efforts to hold accountable those responsible for apartheid-era human rights violations.
