Capt Charles Higgins

Capt Charles Higgins was the nephew of chemist William Higgins and the sole beneficiary of his uncle's estate, which included considerable wealth accumulated through property investments. Following William Higgins’s death in 1825, Capt Charles inherited the legacy of a significant figure in the early development of atomic theory and chemistry in Ireland.
