Carlos José Gil

Carlos José Gil is a member of the Dominican Republic's Chamber of Deputies representing the Fuerza del Pueblo party. He gained public attention as a survivor of the tragic roof collapse at the Jet Set nightclub on April 8, 2023, where he lost his close friend and aide, Julio César de Óleo. The incident has left him grappling with emotional trauma and guilt, particularly regarding the safety of his wife, who also suffered injuries during the collapse.
