Carmen Curado is a Dominican educator and co-founder of the Orquesta Agustín de Jesús, which began in 1993 in Monte Plata. Together with Teresa Pagán, she played a pivotal role in establishing a music program that not only educates children and adolescents in various instruments but also fosters a deep appreciation for Dominican musical heritage, particularly merengue.
