Caterina Lanfredi

Caterina Lanfredi is a marine biologist and the deputy director of the Cetacean Sanctuary Research (CSR) project at the Tethys Institute. Since 2000, she has been dedicated to monitoring the presence and health of cetaceans in the Pelagos Sanctuary, an area shared by Italy, France, and Monaco. With her expertise, she plays a crucial role in studying the behaviors and populations of whales and dolphins, utilizing advanced techniques such as hydrophones and drones to ensure their protection in a rapidly changing marine environment.
