Catherine Brennan

Catherine Brennan, now known as Catherine Wrightstone, is a licensed clinical social worker who bravely disclosed her experience of sexual abuse at the hands of her brother Richard when she was just 12 years old. Her courageous step to report the abuse in 1984 was met with disbelief from her parents, particularly her mother, who labeled her a liar. Catherine's story highlights the pervasive culture of silence and fear within her family, where she and her sisters suffered abuse for years before finally reporting their brothers in 2019.
