Chang-Lee Te-ho (張李德和) was a distinguished Taiwanese poet, educator, and cultural figure known as the 'Mother of Poetry.' Born in 1893, she excelled in various arts, including poetry, calligraphy, and painting, while actively promoting women's education and welfare. Chang-Lee became a prominent assemblywoman and played a pivotal role in advocating for gender equality and public health in Taiwan. Her home was a cultural hub for artists and writers, and she left behind a significant body of work, including over 1,000 poems, before her passing in 1972.
