Huang Chin-chuan

Huang Chin-chuan was a pioneering Taiwanese poet born on November 5, 1907, known for her contributions to classical poetry in a male-dominated literary landscape. She became the first Taiwanese woman to publish a poetry collection with 'The Poetry of Chin-chuan' in 1930. Despite her early success, she faced societal pressures that led to a life of domesticity and melancholy, reflecting on her lost ambitions in her later works.
