Chang Song-thaek

Chang Song-thaek was a prominent North Korean politician and influential figure within the ruling dynasty, serving as the uncle of Kim Jong-un. He held significant power and was seen as a key advisor to Kim Jong-un during the early years of his leadership. However, in 2013, he was purged from power, accused of treason and corruption, and subsequently executed, marking a brutal consolidation of power by Kim Jong-un.
