Choi Min-kyung

Choi Min-kyung is a North Korean defector who has gained international attention for her courageous decision to sue North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and several officials for the abuses she suffered during her detention in North Korea. After fleeing to China in 1997, Choi was forcibly repatriated in 2008, where she endured sexual abuse and torture.
