
Constance Gore-Booth
Constance Gore-Booth, also known as Countess Markievicz, was an Irish revolutionary and politician, born in 1868. She played a significant role in the 1916 Easter Rising against British rule in Ireland and was the first woman elected to the British Parliament, although she did not take her seat. Her life was marked by her commitment to Irish nationalism and social issues.
