Constantin Bălăceanu-Stolnici, born on July 6, 1923, in Bucharest, was a prominent Romanian neurolog and a pioneer in neurocybernetics. As a member of the Romanian Academy, he made significant contributions to neuropsychology and the history of medicine, establishing himself as a leading figure in the fields of neurology and neurophysiology. He was also recognized as the last authentic boyar of the Bălăceanu family, known for their historical influence in the development of Bucharest. Bălăceanu-Stolnici passed away on August 20, 2023, at the age of 100.
