Cristian Arguedas

Cristian Arguedas is a prominent attorney in Costa Rica, known for his work in criminal defense and his advocacy for justice. Recently in the news due to his representation of audiovisual producer Christian Bulgarelli, Arguedas responded strongly to remarks made by President Rodrigo Chaves, asserting that he is undeterred by political pressure and committed to defending his clients with integrity. His legal career includes significant experience in litigation, international consulting, and teaching at the university level. In January 2023, he was proposed by Chaves for the position of Attorney General of the Republic, a nomination he ultimately declined.
