Cynthia A. Pratt

Cynthia A. Pratt is the Governor General of the Bahamas, having been appointed to the position in 2021. As the representative of the monarch in the Bahamas, she plays a significant ceremonial role in the governance of the nation. Pratt has a long history of public service and community involvement, previously serving as a member of the House of Assembly and holding various leadership roles in civic organizations. During the National Honours Ceremony 2025, she presented medals to over 500 citizens, including the prestigious Order of National Hero to Pompey Rolle for his leadership in the 1830 slave revolt.
