Darío Santillán

Darío Santillán was an Argentine activist known for his involvement in the social movements of the early 2000s. He gained national attention after he was killed by police during a protest in 2002, alongside fellow activist Maximiliano Kosteki. Their deaths became a rallying point for many social justice advocates in Argentina, drawing attention to issues of state violence and the struggles faced by marginalized communities.
