
Darlene Garner
Darlene Garner is a co-founder of the National Coalition of Black Lesbians and Gays and a lifelong advocate for LGBTQ rights. She and her wife, Candy Holmes, were among the first couples to marry in Washington, D.C. after the legalization of same-sex marriage in 2010. Garner has dedicated her life to advancing civil rights for all LGBTQ individuals, particularly people of color, and has served as a leader in the Metropolitan Community Church.
