Frank Kameny

Frank Kameny was a key figure in the American gay rights movement, co-founding the Mattachine Society and organizing the first picket line for gay rights in front of the White House. Fired from his job in the U.S. Army for being gay, Kameny dedicated his life to fighting for LGBTQ rights and was a trailblazer in the push for greater visibility and acceptance of the LGBTQ community.
