David Duerson
David Duerson was a former NFL safety who played for the Chicago Bears, New York Giants, and Arizona Cardinals. After retiring from football, Duerson became an advocate for player safety and mental health, but in February 2011, he took his own life, leaving behind a note asking for his brain to be studied for signs of CTE.
