
Jovan Belcher
Jovan Belcher was an American football linebacker who played for the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL. In December 2012, Belcher tragically took the lives of his girlfriend, Kasandra Perkins, and then committed suicide at the team's practice facility. His case drew significant attention to the mental health struggles faced by former athletes and the potential link between chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) and violent behavior.
