
David Yambio
David Yambio is a South Sudanese human rights activist and the president and co-founder of Refugees in Libya. He is a vocal critic of the Italian government's migrant pact with Libya, which he describes as a 'death sentence' for migrants. Yambio, who received asylum in Italy in 2022 after escaping from Mitiga prison where he was subjected to abuses under Libyan police chief Osama Najim, has recently gained attention after revealing that his phone was targeted in a spyware attack.
