Davide Pagliarini is the Superior General of the Society of Saint Pius X (FSSPX), an ultraconservative group within the Catholic Church that has been in conflict with the Vatican since its founding in response to the reforms of the Second Vatican Council. Recently, he has been in the news for overseeing the unauthorized consecration of four bishops, defying Pope León XIV's authority.
