François Charrière

François Charrière was a Swiss bishop who played a significant role in the Catholic Church during the 20th century. He is known for his support of Marcel Lefebvre in the establishment of the Society of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) in 1970, which sought to preserve traditional Catholic practices in the wake of the changes instituted by the Second Vatican Council.
