Derek Armstrong Chen

Derek Armstrong Chen is the Deputy Director of the Fire Services Department in Hong Kong. He gained media attention recently as he provided updates on the devastating fire that occurred in a residential complex in Tai Po, which resulted in at least 83 fatalities, marking it as the deadliest fire in Hong Kong in nearly 80 years. Chen reported that firefighters managed to control the fire after it burned for over 24 hours and that some survivors were found in the buildings.
