Diego Area

Diego Area is a Venezuelan political activist and the president of Global Americans, a think tank focused on Latin American issues. Having fled Venezuela after campaigning against Nicolás Maduro in the 2015 parliamentary elections, Area has become a vocal advocate for democratic reforms in his home country. Recently, he expressed concerns over the U.S. government's preference for stability over genuine democratic change, particularly in light of the Trump administration's seemingly favorable stance towards Maduro's successor, Delcy Rodríguez.
