Diego Turbay Cote was a Colombian congressman and president of the Peace Commission of the House of Representatives. He was tragically murdered on December 29, 2000, along with his mother and companions, by FARC members while traveling to attend a political event, marking another brutal chapter in the Turbay family's history of violence.
