Dmitry Mikhaylov
Dmitry Mikhaylov is a Latvian citizen and political prisoner who gained attention for speaking out against the treatment of Belarusian-speaking prisoners in Belarusian jails. Mikhaylov's advocacy for fellow inmates led to him being physically assaulted during his incarceration. He was released on June 21, 2025, alongside 13 other political prisoners, following diplomatic efforts from the United States.
