Dor Ben Shimon

Lieutenant Colonel Dor Ben Shimon, aged 32, was the commander of Battalion 52 in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). He tragically lost his life during a recent military operation in southern Lebanon, where a tank incident occurred. Ben Shimon, hailing from Kibbutz Beit She'an, was on duty when the unforeseen event led to the deaths of four soldiers and injuries to several others. His leadership and dedication to his unit were recognized as he served in a challenging combat environment.
