Doris Rawak Ryffel

Doris Rawak Ryffel is a Uruguayan psychiatrist and artist, known for her pioneering work in ADHD among adults in Switzerland. Born to Jewish emigrants fleeing Nazi Germany, Doris's early life was shaped by her family's history and cultural heritage. She first encountered her future husband, Meinrad Ryffel, on a bus ride in the United States as an exchange student in 1961. Despite the challenges of a transatlantic relationship, they reconnected years later in Germany, eventually marrying and settling in Switzerland. Doris has made significant contributions to her field through her clinical work, public speaking, and authorship, while also expressing her creativity through various artistic mediums.
