Dorothy Isaacs

Dorothy Isaacs is a 92-year-old veteran educator from Jamaica, recognized for her profound impact on the education sector over her 53-year teaching career. She received a Golden Torch Award from the Jamaica Teachers’ Association for her dedication to teaching, especially in music, where she helped students discover hidden talents. A founding member of the Jamaica Teachers’ Association, Isaacs also established programs for students with learning challenges and contributed significantly to the community through her involvement with the Jamaica Music Orchestra.
