Dr Abdallah Hamdok

Dr Abdallah Hamdok served as the Prime Minister of Sudan from 2019 until a military coup in October 2021. An economist by training, he played a significant role in Sudan's transition to a civilian government after the ousting of long-time dictator Omar al-Bashir. His tenure focused on economic reforms and peace negotiations but was interrupted by political instability and military intervention.
