Dr Hashem Slaimankhel

Dr. Hashem Slaimankhel was a respected physician and community leader in New Zealand who advocated for refugee health. He was originally from Afghanistan and tragically died in a terrorist attack in Kabul in 2018. His son, Khalid Slaimankhel, has been involved in gang activities, which has drawn attention to the challenges faced by families affected by violence and crime.
