Dr. Roopnaraine

Dr. Roopnaraine was a prominent Guyanese intellectual, revolutionary, and member of the Working People's Alliance (WPA), known for his commitment to the democratization of Guyanese society and his advocacy for national reconciliation. He was a close associate of the late Walter Rodney and played a significant role in the cultural and political landscape of Guyana, being an avid supporter of the arts and a mentor to young artists.
