Edmund Barton
Edmund Barton was an Australian statesman and the first Prime Minister of Australia, serving from 1901 to 1903. A key figure in the movement for federation, Barton played a significant role in the drafting of the Constitution and was instrumental in the establishment of the Commonwealth of Australia. After his term as Prime Minister, he served as a justice of the High Court of Australia. Barton is remembered for his contributions to the formation of modern Australia and his advocacy for national unity.
