Eduard Roschmann

Eduard Roschmann was a notorious Nazi officer during World War II, infamously known as the 'Butcher of Riga' for his role in the deportation and extermination of Jews in Latvia. After the war, he fled to South America, where he lived in Paraguay under a false identity, evading capture for years despite being one of the most wanted war criminals. His presence in Paraguay is often associated with the post-war influx of Nazis to the region.
