Edwin Lee

Edwin Lee was the mayor of San Francisco from 2011 until his untimely death in 2017. He was the first Asian American to hold the position and was known for his focus on economic development, housing, and the city's burgeoning tech sector. Lee was a proponent of San Francisco's sanctuary city policies, which aimed to protect undocumented immigrants from federal immigration enforcement.
