Ejército colombiano

The Colombian Army, known as Ejército Nacional de Colombia, is the land warfare branch of the military of Colombia. It is tasked with protecting the nation's sovereignty and maintaining order, particularly in areas affected by conflict and drug trafficking. Recently, the Army played a significant role in a joint operation with Brazilian authorities to dismantle illegal gold extraction operations run by the armed group Comandos de Frontera, aiming to combat organized crime and environmental degradation in the Amazon.
