Elvira Llovera

Elvira Llovera is the mother of Juan Pablo Pernalete, a young student and athlete who was tragically killed during a protest in Caracas in 2017 by a tear gas canister fired by the National Guard. On the eighth anniversary of her son's death, she took to social media to remember him and to express her ongoing demand for justice and accountability for the violence against protesters in Venezuela.
