Eran Ortal

Eran Ortal is a Brigadier General in the Israel Defense Forces and a prominent military strategist. He previously served as the commander of the Dado Center for Interdisciplinary Military Studies and is currently a senior researcher in strategic studies at Bar-Ilan University. He has been involved in analyzing military operations in Gaza and has provided insights into Israel's military strategies, particularly regarding the ongoing conflict with Hamas. Recently, he emphasized the importance of a slow assault strategy in Gaza City, focusing on the safety of hostages and Israeli troops, while aiming to completely eliminate Hamas's presence in the area.
