Erik the Red
Erik the Red, born Erik Thorvaldsson, was a Norse explorer who is credited with founding the first Norse settlement in Greenland around 985 AD. Known for his fiery temperament and adventurous spirit, he was the father of Leif Erikson and played a pivotal role in expanding the Viking presence in the North Atlantic.
