Erna Feuchtwanger was a pianist and the mother of Edgar Feuchtwanger. Living in Munich during the rise of National Socialism, she worked tirelessly to protect her family from the dangers posed by the Nazi regime. After her husband Ludwig was imprisoned in Dachau, Erna's determination and resourcefulness were crucial in securing their escape to England in 1939.
