
Ludwig Feuchtwanger
Ludwig Feuchtwanger was a German publisher and lawyer who lived in Munich during the rise of the Nazi regime. As the father of Edgar Feuchtwanger, he was part of a respected Jewish family that faced increasing persecution under Adolf Hitler's government. Ludwig was arrested during the November pogroms in 1938 and briefly imprisoned in Dachau, from which he was later released, allowing his family to escape to England shortly thereafter.
